Roberto Russo
Roberto Russo è nato a Imperia il 21/06/1973. Ha conseguito il Diploma universitario con votazione 102/110 presso il Politecnico di Torino nel 2004. Dal 2002 al 2006 ha collaborato presso un internet point a Rivoli (TO). È stato dipendente part time tra il 2003 e il 2004 presso la ditta Polimatica di Casine Vica (TO) come programmatore web, utilizzando il linguaggi HTML e ASP. Ha ottenuto due borse di studio Sinapsi negli anni 2005 e 2006, dove ha potuto sviluppare applicazioni VB.NET.
Dal 2007 è impiegato presso l’Istituto Superiore Mario Boella come ricercatore nell’ambito web. In questi anni ha partecipato a corsi di approfondimento sui sistemi operativi Windows e Ubuntu, introduzione alla programmazione con QT4, corsi di approfondimento del linguaggio Css e Css3 con l’utilizzo del programma di grafica Gimp.
Tra le attività svolte in ISMB, ha lavorato per il Network of Excellence Newcom++, contribuendo al content management del portale collaborativo, principale strumento del network per la creazione di una community tra i ricercatori e per lo scambio delle informazioni, della documentazione, dei risultati di ricerca tra i partner. Ha partecipato inoltre al progetto R.O.S.A.- Oceansat, dove, oltre alle attività di content management, si è occupato anche della parte di configurazione e personalizzazione del CMS Drupal, nonché della visualizzazione di dati generati all'interno di una grid e finalizzati alla elaborazione di modelli fisico-matematici a partire da dati grezzi di osservazioni satellitare.
Drupal è diventato uno strumento principale di lavoro; per questo motivo ha partecipato sia al Drupal Camp 2010 a Torino che quello di Verona nel 2011. Da Settembre a Novembre 2011 ha frequentato un corso avanzato sulla creazione dei moduli di Drupal.
Roberto Russo was born in Imperia on 21/06/1973. He took his BSC at Politecnico di Torino in 2004 with grade 102/110. Between 2002 and 2006, he worked at an internet point in Rivoli (TO). Between 2003 and 2004, he was part-time employee at Polimatica of Casine Vica (TO) as a web programmer, using HTML and ASP. He received two Sinapsi research grants in 2005 and 2006, through the VB.NET programming.
Since 2007 he has worked at Istituto Superiore Mario Boella Web as a senior researcher. In recent years he attended several courses based on operative systems like Windows or Ubuntu, on programming in QT4, on programming in CSS and CSS3 using the Gimp graphics program.
Among the activities carried out in ISMB, he worked for the Network of Excellence Newcom++, contributing to the content management of the collaborative portal. This is the main instrument of the network to create a community of researchers and to exchange information, documentations and research results among the partners. He also participated in the project ROSE-Oceansat, where, in addition to content management activities, has also managed the configuration and customization of Drupal CMSIn particular, he worked on the visualization of data generated within a grid and aimed at the development of physical-mathematical models from the raw data of satellite observations.
Drupal has become the main tool of his work. For this reason he participated in both the Drupal Camp 2010 in Torino and Verona in 2011. From September to November 2011 he attended an advanced course on creating Drupal modules.
