È nato a Sassari nel 1982 e vive a Torino dal 2001. Ha ottenuto la laurea magistrale in Ingegneria delle Telecomunicazioni al Politecnico di Torino nel 2006 con la tesi dal titolo “Investigation of Multipath Effects on Real GPS L1 Signal Aquired in Urban Environment”.

Dopo una breve esperienza come Software Engineer presso il Motorola Technology Center di Torino è entrato in ISMB nel 2007. In principio ha lavorato presso il Laboratorio di Tecnologia Bancaria Applicata di Intesa SanPaolo per il quale si è occupato di analisi di fattibilità, ricerche di mercato, scouting di tecnologie innovative e ha sviluppato proof of concepts per il Web 2.0 e per dispositivi mobili.

Attualmente fa parte dello staff dell’Unità di Ricerca Infrastructures and Systems for Advanced Computing (IS4AC) e si occupa di tematiche che riguardano le infrastrutture di calcolo per grandi quantità di dati che coinvolgono tecnologie come il Cloud Computing, il Grid Computing, l’High Performance Computing (HPC), la virtualizzazione.

Oltre alle competenze tecniche ha acquisito esperienza in attività che riguardano aspetti organizzativi e gestionali, nella redazione di documenti tecnici e articoli scientifici, nella stesura di proposte di progetti di ricerca, nella gestione dei rapporti con aziende e partner scientifici.

He was born in Sassari in 1982 and lives in Turin since 2001. He obtained Master Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin in 2006 with a final dissertation entitled “Investigation of Multipath Effects on Real GPS L1 Signal Aquired in Urban Environment”.

After a brief experience as a Software Engineer at Motorola's Technology Center of Turin he joined ISMB in 2007. At the beginning he worked at Laboratorio di Tecnologia Bancaria Applicata of the banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, dealing with the development of proof of concepts for the Web 2.0 and mobile devices, feasibility studies, market research and scouting for innovative technologies.

He is currently a researcher of the Infrastructures and Systems for Advanced Computing (IS4AC) Research Unit and deals with computing infrastructure for large amounts of data. He has experience in technologies such as Cloud Computing, Grid Computing, High performance computing (HPC) and virtualization.

In addition to technical skills, he acquired experience in related activities such as organization and management, writing of technical documents and scientific papers, drafting of proposals for research projects, managing relationships with companies and scientific partners.
