Matteo Alessandro Francavilla ha ottenuto la laurea in Ingegneria delle Telecomunicazioni e il Dottorato di Ricerca in elettromagnetismo applicato presso il Politecnico di Torino, rispettivamente nel 2007 e nel 2010. Nel 2007 è stato 6 mesi presso il TNO (Defence, Security and Safety Institute, Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) a Den Haag, in Olanda. Nel corso del 2010 ha svolto parte della ricerca di Dottorato presso la University of Houston, TX, USA.

Da gennaio 2011 è ricercatore presso il Laboratorio di Antenne e Compatibilità Elettromagnetica (LACE) all’Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB). I suoi interessi scientifici includono metodi per equazioni integrali, tecniche numeriche per antenne, analisi di strutture periodiche e di mezzi stratificati, e programmazione di GPU.

Matteo Alessandro Francavilla received the Laurea degree in Telecommunication Engineering and Ph.D. in degree in applied electromagnetics from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, respectively in 2007 and 2010. During the 2007 he spent six months with the Defence, Security and Safety Institute, Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research, The Hague, The Netherlands.

During the 2010 he carried out part of the Doctoral research as a visiting student at the University of Houston, TX, USA. Since January 2011, he has been working as a researcher at the Antenna and EMC Lab (LACE), at the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella, Torino, Italy. His scientific interests include integral equations, numerical techniques for antennas, periodic structures and layered media analysis, and GPU programming.
