Gonzalo Alcaraz è nato a Rosario (Argentina) nel dicembre 1985. Nel 2008 ha conseguito la Laurea in Ingegneria delle Telecomunicazioni presso l’Università Blas Pascal di Córdoba(Argentina). Durante il suo corso di studi universitario è stato vicepresidente della IEEE Student Branch.
Nel 2009 ha vinto la borsa di studio ALPIP (America Latina PIemonte Politecnico) grazie alla quale ha frequentato il Master di II livello in Wireless Systems and Related Technologies presso il Politecnico di Torino. Il suo stage finale è stato svolto nel dipartimento di telematica del Centro Ricerche FIAT(CRF) di Torino.
Dal 2010 lavora come ricercatore all’Istituto Superiore Mario Boella nell’area di ricerca Tecnologie Pervasive (PerT). La sua attività di ricerca è principalmente focalizzata sull’integrazione delle reti di sensori wireless (WSN) con l'Internet delle Cose e lo studio di interoperabilità in reti eterogenee.
Gonzalo Alcaraz was born in Rosario (Argentina) in December 1985. In 2008, he received his Telecommunications Engineering Degree from Universidad Blas Pascal in Córdoba (Argentina). During his university studies, he was the Vice-president of the IEEE Student Branch.
In 2009, he received an ALPIP (America Latina PIemonte Politecnico) scholarship from Politecnico di Torino to attend a Specializing Master in Wireless Systems and Related Technologies. His final internship was carried out in the telematic department at FIAT Research Center (CRF).
In 2010, he joined Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB), to work as research assistant in the Pervasive Radio Technologies Laboratory (PerT). His research is related to the integration of wireless sensor networks with the Internet of Things and the analysis of interoperability in heterogeneous networks.
