Federico Rizzo ha conseguito la Laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Informatica presso il Politecnico di Torino, con tesi su “Tecnologie di Data Fusion e Context Awareness per il risparmio energetico: uno scenario Smart Office” svolta presso ISMB nel 2011. Da dicembre dello stesso anno, ricopre il ruolo di collaboratore nell’unità “Internet-of-Things Service Management” (IoT-SM), nell’area Pervasive Techologies (PerT).
I suoi interessi di ricerca sono centrati sul Data Fusion e Context-Awareness per gestire e sviluppare servizi per l’Internet delle Cose (IoT) in scenari di Smart Home/Office e Smart Health.
Inoltre, Federico ha svolto un tirocinio, sempre presso l’ISMB, dove ha realizzato un sistema distribuito in grado di gestire e condividere delle informazioni raccolte da generiche reti di sensori wireless.
Grazie al percorso di studio e all’esperienza maturata attraverso stage, tirocinio e tesi, Federico ha sviluppato competenze tecniche, che includono lo sviluppo di software con linguaggi e strumenti come Java/OSGi; C, C++, C#; linguaggi di scripting come awk, bash; analizzatore lessicale Jflex e parser CUP. Inoltre, Federico ha acquisito conoscenze in linguaggi come HTML, Visual Basic, MatLab, Assembler, ASP, UML, SQL.
Federico Rizzo received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy). He carried out his M.Sc. thesis, titled “Data Fusion and Context-Awareness technologies for energy optimization: a Smart Office scenario” 2011 at Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB). In December 2011 he joined the Pervasive Technologies (PerT) lab at ISMB, where he is currently a member of the “Internet-of-Things Service Management” research unit among the PerT area.
His research interests are Data Fusion and Context-Awareness systems, with focus on the management and development services based on the Internet of Things (IoT), in particular Smart Home/Office and Smart Health scenario.
In addition, Federico did an internship at ISMB and developed a distributed system that can manage and share information gathered by generic wireless sensor networks.
Thanks to the knowledge and experience gained during a stage (during high school), an internship at ISMB, and the M.Sc. studies, Federico developed technical skills, which includes software development languages and tools e.g. Java / OSGi, C, C++, C#, scripting in awk, bash; Jflex lexical analyzer and CUP parser. Additional programming skills include HTML, Visual Basic, Matlab, Assembler, ASP, UML, SQL.
