GAP REDUCE

GAP REDUCE (Generazione Automatica di Percorsi per RidurrE le Difficoltà di spostamento in ambito Urbano delle persone con disturbi dello spettro autistiCo attraverso una sEgnaletica speciale) is a a Research & Development project aiming at developing a tool for promoting the autonomous movement in urban environments of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The innovative aspects of the projects reside in the development of a routing algorithm which finds the optimum path according to the special requirements of ASD people and to use the Augmentative and Alternative Communication to inform the user on how to cover the path.

This 18-months project is done in collaboration with Tamalacà, a spin-off of University of Sassari, and is funded by Regione Autonoma della Sardegna (POR FESR Sardegna 2014 – 2020 Asse 1 Azione 1.1.3 - Aiuti per Progetti di Ricerca e Sviluppo).
