ISMB Hosts the Kick-Off Meeting of BRAIN-IoT Project
11 January 2018
On 17 and 18 January ISMB will host the Kick-Off meeting of BRAIN-IoT (model-Based fRamework for dependable sensing and Actuation in INtelligent decentralized IoT systems),project that aims to establish a framework and methodology supporting smart cooperative behavior in fully de-centralized, combinable and dynamic federations of heterogeneous IoT platforms.
The project focuses on complex scenarios, where actuation and control are cooperatively supported by populations of heterogeneous IoT systems.
BRAIN-IoT will establish the principle that future IoT applications should never be supported by a single, unique, irreplaceable IoT platform. Rather future IoT services should exist within a federated / evolving environment that not only leverages current Industry Standards but is also capable of adapting to embrace future unforeseen industry developments.
The Consortium is formed by partners from all over Europe, including the Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA), SIEMENS, the Eclipse Foundation, AIRBUS Cybersecurity, Robotnik Automation, Empresa Municipal de Aguas di La Coruna, Université Grenoble Alpes, Paremus Ltd, Siotic Spain, STMicroelectronics Grenoble, and Institut de L’audiovisuel et des Telecommunications en Europe.
