Consortium Meeting of the OptiTruck Project

26 May 2017

On May 29-30, ISMB will host the Consortium Meeting of the OptiTruck Project (optimal fuel consumption with Predictive PowerTrain control and calibration for intelligent Truck), an innovation action co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Program under the Green Vehicles Call (H2020-GV-6-2015) which involves the Mobile Solutions Research Area and the Smart City Strategic Program.

The project, coordinated by ERTICO - ITS Europe, brings together the most advanced technologies from powertrain control and intelligent transport systems in order to achieve a global optimum for consumption of fuel (at least 20% reduction) as well as other energy sources and consumables while achieving Euro VI emission standards for heavy duty road haulage (40t).

This result is achieved by implementing a predictive decision support system able to fuse and integrate data gathered from the vehicles with heterogeneous bigdata source from the external environment.
