JUPITER Workshop in Hanoi

Gianluca Marucco and Gabriella Povero, from Navigation Technologies Research Area, participated in the International Workshop on Research and Applications of EGNSS on Intelligent Transportation Systems, organized by the JUPITER project in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 23rd of April.
Focus of the workshop was on the EGNSS principles, its main characteristics (Galileo and EGNOS, the difference between GNSS and European GNSS – EGNSS) and its added value for the Intelligent Transportation Systems – ITS.

Gianluca also presented the JUPITER project and its activities, included a demo on spoofing realized in ISMB, and some South East Asian researchers presented some examples of South East Asian ITS.
The Joint EUropean Project for International ITS/EGNSS awareness Raising - JUPITER project, is a two years project funded by the European Union through the new EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020, managed by the European GNSS Agency – GSA with the cooperation of the Navigation Technologies Research Area, and aims to promote the European GNSS satellite navigation technology (EGNSS), in particular in the field of ITS.
