Navigation Technologies Research Area Published a Paper on Sensors Journal!

The Navigation Technologies Research Area has published in the prestigious journal "Sensors"a new paper, written by Davide Margaria and Emanuela Falletti, entitled: "The Local Integrity Approach for Urban Contexts: Definition and Vehicular Experimental Assessment". The article has been published in the Special Issue "Sensors for Autonomous Road Vehicles" and contains some experimental results regarding the concept of "Local Integrity", obtained during the European GLOVE project, funded under the FP7 framework and ended in 2015. The local integrity is a novel cooperative integrity monitoring concept for GNSS signals, suitable to vehicular applications in urban scenarios.

The project, that explored novel architectures and services for the integration between Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), especially the European Galileo System, and vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs), involved two ISMB’s Research Areas: Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions, which was responsible for synchronous networks, and Navigation Technologies, which developed the concept of Local Integrity.
The Consortium includes also Centro Ricerche Fiat (Italy), DLR (Germany), Galatasaray University (Turkey), Infotech (Turkey), and CBK (Poland).
