20 November 2015

Luca Pilosu, researcher of the Advanced Computing and Electromagnetics Area, will take part in the IEEE SCVT 2015, 22nd IEEE Symposium on Communications and Vehicular Technology in the Benelux, that will be held in Luxembourg on November 24th, presenting the paper "Exploring TV White Spaces for the Mitigation of AIS Weaknesses", which deals with the activities of the TRITON project.

The paper illustrates the characterization of a TV-White-Space communication system, by means of Ray Tracing and Network simulations, in order to assess its suitability for the maritime domain.
TRusted vessel Information from Trusted On-board iNstrumentation (TRITON) is an R&D project that focuses on increasing the trustworthiness of on-board instrumentation used to report vessel information to the control organisms, funded by the European Union trough the Seventh Framework Programme.
