ISMB Invited Speaker at CrowdSourcing Venice Summit

4 March 2015

The 5th and 6th of March H-Farm Ventures accelerator in Roncade (Treviso) will host the CrowdSourcing Venice Summit, a two-day conference that gathers high-caliber international innovators on the cutting edge of collaborative economy. The Summit – which represents the first international event ever held in Italy on this theme – will explore how crowdsourcing is shaping a myriad of industries and is profoundly transforming organizations and society as a whole.

The roster of innovators and change makers – selected by the Organizing Committee – includes Michele Osella, head of Business Model and Policy Innovation Unit. He will participate in the conference playing a three-fold role.

He will open – as invited speaker – the first day with a talk titled “Crowdsourcing: A Business Model Game Changer”, which will cast a light on transformative forces unleashed by crowdsourcing in the private sector, taking a longitudinal perspective from the early days of open innovation till today, when – with some exceptions – openness may represent the “new normal”.

In addition, he will participate as panelist in the round tableCorporate Innovation through Crowdsourcing: a Fad or Business Strategy?” moderated by best-selling author Sean Moffitt. The panel will delve into key success factors, risks and challenges ahead related to crowdsourcing adoption at corporate level.

Finally, he will chair as moderator the conclusive panelCrowdsourcing and Politics” whose line-up comprises top-tier Italian institutional personalities such as – inter alia – Veronica Tentori, Italian MP, and Cristina Tajani, City Councilor in charge of Labor, Economic Development, University & Research policies at the municipality of Milan.
