Ebbits Hands-On Demonstration Workshop

A hand-on workshop focused on the ebbits project results will take place on February 26th, at the headquarters of the Grundfos company, in Bjerringbro (Denmark).

Grundfos is the world leader in the manufacture of hydraulic pumps and advanced solutions for the water management, in which is considered the reference company. Grundfos actively contributes to global sustainability through innovative technologies that improve the quality of people’s lives and pay attention to the planet. Thanks to this attention, Grundfos always monitors new technologies, including research activities related to European projects, and in this case, the light is on the ebbits project.

The workshop will focus on technical issues, involving developers and ICT managers. As ISMB representative there will be Paolo Brizzi (from the Pervasive Technologies Research Area), which will describe the overall architecture of the project, the Physical World Adaptation Layer (PWAL) component and the Entity Manager. In the practical session, the integration of wireless sensors in the production environment will be demonstrated, with particular attention to the scenario of vibration analysis, that is an issue of special interest for this sector.
