JEMMA Version 0.9 Released

19 November 2014

ISMB as partner of the Energy@home Association is proud to announce that the version 0.9 of the Java-based Energy ManageMent Application (JEMMA) framework has been now released. This release will be used during the Smart Home Hackathon, which will take place at the I3P - the Innovative Enterprise Incubator of the Politecnico of Torino from November 21 to November 23, 2014.

This ultimate release contains a lot of bug fixes and improvements in the ZigBee network management as well as in the graphical interface. Furthermore, this version adds support for recently introduced in the market mechanisms to automatically lock the house doors and windows coverage systems. Indeed, the DoorLock module (for the lock products provided by YALE and KWIKSET) and the WindowCovering (for Ubisys) devices have been integrated in the JEMMA framework.

The release binary (available here) also includes OSGi Device Abstraction Layer implementation (specifically the rfc0196 and rfc0210 standards). It is now possible to interact with the OSGi Device Abstraction Layer also using HTTP REST or WebSocket. Take a look at this page to understand how to interact with REST APIs and to this page to find out what kind of functions (with operations and parameters) are today available through exposed by JEMMA devices.
