ISMB Talks About eHealth at the Next Conference on IBD

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) are complex disorders, which requires for their optimal management high-level expertise and clinical facilities. Diagnosis and treatment should be managed in accordance with general guidelines, but local variations may occur.

This is the focus of the “New frontiers in IBD management: comparison between Italian and East European attitudes” conference, which will be held in Turin (Italy) on 12th and 13th September, 2014. The ultimate focus of this meeting will be on comparison of different attitudes between Italian and East-European attitudes in the management of IBD, with the goal of highlighting similarities and differences between experts belonging to the different Countries.

Guido Pagana, researcher at the Smart Health Strategic Program, will attend the meeting, speaking about “Can eHealth impact on patients empowerment and on clinical organizational models?”, which will take place on the Friday afternoon (12th September).
