Final Review of the "GNSS Receiver and Antenna Installation and Operation in Vietnam" Project

4 August 2014

The 5th of August the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella will host the final review of the "GNSS Receiver and Antenna Installation and Operation in Vietnam" project. The project was funded by the European Space Agency and involved the Navigation Technologies Research Area at ISMB (NavSAS) and the NAVIS Centre in Hanoi.

The aim of the project was to analyze the data received by a GNSS monitoring station in the NAVIS facilities in Vietnam, in order to acquire data not available in Europe. In fact, NAVIS is located in a region, South-East Asia, where all the GNSSs and RNSSs today available in the world are viewable. The project strengthened the bonds between ISMB, NAVIS and ESA.

Background information
The NAVIS Collaboration Centre is located in the premises of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam. The mission of the Collaboration Centre is to act as linking entity between Europe and South-East Asia in the field of GNSS. NAVIS is the main outcome of the FP7 SEAGAL project, coordinated by ISMB. ISMB is today working with NAVIS thanks to the FP7 Growing NAVIS project.
