At IWCMC to Present ISMB Recent Developments on Wireless Networking

30 July 2014

ISMB will take part in the International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC), that will be held on 4-8 August 2014 in Nicosia, Cyprus. Under the theme of “Connecting the World“, IWCMC 2014 will target a wide spectrum of the state-of-the-art as well as emerging topics pertaining to wireless networks, wireless communications and mobile computing.

The Institute will be involved in the Wireless Networking Symposium, through a paper*. It describes a study about the coexistence among wireless networks, operating on partially unlicensed overlapping bands and proposes a tool aimed at simulating competing wireless protocols, leveraging the well-known NS-2 simulator.

The work of the researchers from the Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions Research Area has been supported by the Wireless Regulation for Industrial Automation (WiRIA) team, an initiative of twelve international companies managed by ZVEI, the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, whose goal is to achieve an efficient use of wireless technologies in industrial automation applications.
