The event takes place from 2-7 September 2013 and ebbits, a project in which the PerT area is involved, is sponsoring a code marathon from 3rd to 5th September: during this fast event, developers who are candidates will compete in the creation of new mobile application in less than 48 hours. Student will use as data source an XML-file and will leverage on the access to the ebbits website with documentation and background info.

The ebbits partners are providing support throughout the runtime of the challenge, Giampiero Bono is there on behalf of ISMB. The challenge is on providing a mobile application for food traceability (one of the ebbits topic), involving at least two stakeholders and leveraging on the ebbits’ Internet of Things middleware. The ebbits consortium will evaluate the projects and valuable prizes (in cash) will be available for the winners.
