4th Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS

G-NAVIS participated to the 4th  Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in December 2012. The workshop is a great oppurtunity to establish new links within the GNSS community in the Asia Pacific Region.

The 4th Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS held in Kuala Lumpur during 8th- 10th December 2012, jointly organized by Malaysian National Space Agency (ANGKASA), G-NAVIS project, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and Satellite Positioning Research and Application Center (SPAC), supported by International Committee on GNSS (ICG) and United Nations International GNSS Service (IGS). The Asia Oceania Regional Workshop on GNSS has been held every year as part of Asia Oceania Multi-GNSS Demonstration Campaign promoted by Multi-GNSS Asia (MGA), and now this Workshop will be the forth time following the Workshop in Jeju-Island Korea last year.

The participating organization to MGA launched in last September has increased to 16 organizations, and 8 Multi-GNSS Joint Experiments have started continuously as an activity for Asia Oceania Multi-GNSS Demonstration Campaign. And also, the preparation of 33 stations for “Multi-GNSS Monitoring Network” which tracks and observes Multi-GNSS has started mainly in Asia Oceania region. At this Workshop, the results of above mentioned activities were reported, and the detail plans of future demonstration experiments were presented and discussed. The participants shared information about the latest trend and needs of Multi-GNSS.
