MICROSYN

Regional Project – P.O.R. – F.E.S.R.

The project has the goal of the creation of a demonstrative production plant able to produce electricity from biomass with variable composition. The plant consists of the cascade of two sub-systems. The first one receives as input the biomass formed from the remains of slaughtered bovine animals and similar sewage. The biomass, after a prior drying process, is converted into a syngas, which represents the input to the second sub-system. This consists of a particular type of motor capable of transforming the syngas into electrical current. During the operation phase both the sub-systems are kept under constant monitoring, both observing the working conditions (internal and external) and monitoring production parameters. This plant is thought to be hosted within the farms where it is directly available the biomass needed to feed the plant.
