Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions

The Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions Research Area investigates solutions for the access, network architectures and applications aimed at the effective delivery of Internet services under mobility. The topic reflects two technological trends: the ever growing wireless connectivity (and availability of flexible end-devices) and the paradigm of Internet of services, with services – rather than contents – driving the evolution of Internet.

InDrive Project Kick off Meeting

InDrive Kick off Meeting The InDrive project will kick off on 2nd and 3rd of February in Prague at GSA (European GNSS Agency) premises: the project is funded by the Horizon 2020 program within the call “Applications in satellite navigation” and is coordinated by ISMB.

TRITON Final Workshop

TRITON Final Test at the JRC

On October 28th and 29th Navigation Technologies Area researchers will carry on the final tests on the prototypes developed during the TRITON project at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission in Ispra, Italy.

Industrial Technology: the MLW Area Presents the Results of Image Processing Test at ICIT

At the International Conference on Industrial Technology (March 17-19, 2015, Seville) the Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions (MLW) Area will present a paper describing the results obtained by the group in the image processing devoted to automatically investigate the spray characteristics of a fuel injection nozzle by means of a single camera.

MLW at ETSI Committee on VANETs: Ready to Work on New Ideas about DCC, in Line with GLOVE Project

After participating in the first 2015 meeting of the ETSI committee on VANETs, the MLW Research Area is starting to work on new ideas about Decentralized Congestion Control (DCC). At the meeting some concepts emerged about the exploitation of context information, that perfectly fits the architecture proposed within the GLOVE project.

GLOVE Final Event on 11th December 2014

On Thursday, the 11th of December 2014, the final event of GLOVE European project will take place in Turin. The Consortium will present the emerged ideas about how GNSS (time and position) could be beneficial to VANETs, how VANETs could be beneficial to GNSS receivers and what services could be delivered thanks to GNSS and VANETs.
