Ha studiato presso il politecnico di Torino dal 2002 al 2007. Ha conseguito nel 2005 la laurea in ingegneria informatica e nel 2007 la laurea specialistica in ingegneria informatica con indirizzo “Multimedialità ed Applicazioni Software”.

Ha svolto il lavoro di tesi (dal titolo “Sviluppo di una soluzione modulare per servizi di telemedicina”) nel laboratorio Servizi ed Applicazioni di ISMB, dove è stato assunto dopo la laurea. Ha lavorato nel laboratorio S&A dal novembre 2007 fino a marzo 2011. Ad aprile 2011, è passato a lavorare nell’unità Internet of Things – Service Management (IOT-SM) dell’area Pervasive Technologies (PerT).

In ISMB ha collaborato alla progettazione e allo sviluppo di una soluzione di Personal Health Assistant, per l’assistenza domiciliare. Inoltre, ha collaborato allo sviluppo di una soluzione software, per permettere ai musei di migliorare la propria visibilità su internet. Ora, lavora alla progettazione ed allo sviluppo di un middleware software, nell’ambito dell’Internet of Things (il concetto di rete virtuale, applicato agli oggetti reali).

I suoi interessi di ricerca si concentrano nell’ambito delle applicazioni per l’Internet of Things. Collaborando in diversi progetti di ricerca, ha sviluppato competenze nei seguenti settori: sviluppo di applicazioni software, con diversi linguaggi di programmazione, inclusi C, C++, QT, Java (con OSGi); conoscenza del protocollo XMPP ed uso dello stesso come protocollo per la comunicazione fra applicazioni distribuite; interazione con sensori wireless: Bluetooth e ZigBee.

He has attended the Polytechnic of Turin from 2002 to 2007. In 2005 he received a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering and in 2007 the Master of Science in computer engineering with specialization "Multimedia and Software Applications".

He carried out the thesis work (entitled "Development of a modular solution for telemedicine services") in the Services and Applications Lab of ISMB, where he was hired after graduating. He worked in the laboratory S&A from November 2007, until March 2011. Since April 2011, he works in the Internet of Things – Service Management (IOT-SM) Unit of the Pervasive Technologies Area (PerT).

In ISMB he has worked on the design and development of a solution of PHS (Personal Health Assistant), aimed to home care. He was also involved in the development of a software solution that enables the museums to improve their visibility on the Internet. Currently, he works on the design and development of middleware software, as part of the Internet of Things (the concept of virtual network, applied to real objects).

His research interests are focused in applications for Internet of Things. Working in various research projects, he has developed expertise in the following areas: development of software applications with different programming languages including C, C++, QT, Java (with OSGi); knowledge of XMPP protocol and its use as protocol for communication between distributed applications; interaction with wireless sensors: Bluetooth and ZigBee.
